Lake Shore Therapy Group is a mental health private practice located in Northfield, IL. We offer a range of counseling services for adults in the Chicagoland area, including individual and couples counseling. We also provide supervision for provisionally licensed therapists. Our mission is to provide compassionate and evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. We are in network with BlueCross Blue Shield PPO, Aetna, and United plans. Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping clients navigate their personal challenges. The role is primarily located in Northfield, IL, with the option for a flexible, hybrid schedule. Responsibilities of the therapist include:

  • Conduct therapy sessions with your specialized population (adolescent/child therapists preferred).

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and progress.

  • Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings.

  • Stay current with best practices and emerging research in the field of mental health.

  • Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

  • State licensure as a therapist (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT).

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.

  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches

  • Experience with electronic record keeping systems

Preferred:

  • Experience with trauma-informed care

  • Specialty in child/adolescent therapy
