What are my areas of expertise?
I work with adults, couples, families, new and expectant parents, and older adults navigating the many shifts that life brings. Whether you're a college student managing anxiety for the first time, a couple navigating separation or parenting challenges, or someone facing the complexities of chronic illness, grief, or aging—I provide a steady, supportive presence to help you feel more grounded and empowered. My work focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, panic disorder, stress, relationship issues, family conflict, and life transitions. I support people through periods of growth, grief, and identity shifts—whether that’s related to career changes, becoming a parent, or moving through stages of aging. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients and believe that each person and family has unique strengths and stories that deserve to be honored.
What is my professional background and training?
I received my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University and my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I’m a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Illinois. I'm currently pursuing specialized training in perinatal mental health to better support new and expecting mothers, and in animal-assisted therapy as another avenue for healing. My training and experience have shaped me into a flexible and empathetic clinician who believes deeply in meeting people where they are and building forward from there.
How do I approach therapy and client care?
My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I believe that therapy should be a place where you feel safe, heard, and respected. Together, we’ll explore not just what’s going wrong, but what’s already strong within you. I use a person-centered, strength-based approach, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help you develop tools and insights that are both practical and meaningful. Whether you're looking for support through a specific issue or hoping to better understand yourself and your relationships, we’ll work together to create a space where growth can happen.
What do I enjoy outside of work?
Outside of the therapy room, I love to cook and experiment with new recipes—especially with fresh finds from local farmer’s markets. I enjoy practicing yoga, spending weekends exploring Chicago, and spending quality time with my family and our rescue cat, Rogu. I believe that joy and connection are essential parts of life—and I try to carry that belief into both my personal life and professional work!
