What are my areas of expertise?
I specialize in supporting young adults and professionals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, eating disorders, and identity exploration. Iβm particularly passionate about helping clients in their 20s and 30s manage career pressures, perfectionism, and the complexities of building meaningful connections in a busy city.
I also provide affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and support those exploring their sense of self during pivotal seasons of life. Using evidence-based practices, I work collaboratively to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered to make lasting change.
What is my professional background and training?
I have a BA in Psychology and a minor in Biology from the University of St. Francis, followed by an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and am board-certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Additionally, I am a Level One Certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner (CCTP-I), equipping me with specialized expertise in trauma-informed care. My diverse education and training allow me to provide comprehensive, evidence-based support tailored to each clientβs unique needs.
How do I approach therapy and client care?
My therapeutic approach is grounded in an existential and humanistic perspective, helping clients uncover the bigger "why" behind their current stage of life and identifying what may be standing in the way of achieving it. I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are, fostering trust and safety in the therapy space as it develops naturally. Transparency and honesty are central to my work, ensuring an authentic therapeutic relationship. When working with younger clients, particularly on trauma-specific issues, I incorporate play therapy techniques to help them process their experiences in a way that feels safe and accessible. My goal is to provide compassionate, client-centered care that empowers individuals to move forward with clarity and confidence.
What do I enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time singing, reading, and baking. I also love playing with my dog, Olive, who keeps life full of joy and laughter. These hobbies allow me to recharge and bring creativity and balance into my daily life!
